In my Print Library Locator post, I mentioned that it is difficult to find all of the libraries that carry a particular book due to the lack of a universal library catalog. This is doubly so for digital library holdings. Before we get into the library list, I do want to provide a brief explanation of why this is. However, if you just want to skip to the library locator, feel free to.

Libraries provide ebooks using two different models: the purchase model and the cost per checkout model. The purchase model works similarly to purchasing a print book. A library purchases access to a specific book, and it can be checked out by only one person at a time. With the cost per checkout model, a library has access to a catalog of books, and they pay a fee each time a book is checked out.

Hoopla uses the cost per checkout model exclusively. I believe most Libby libraries use the purchase model, although there are some that use the cost per checkout model as well. If your library uses hoopla or Libby with the customer checkout model, you should most likely have access to Little White Flowers. However, there are many, many of these libraries and no list that I know of that catalogs them all, so they aren't included below. If you'd like to find out if your library has access to Little White Flowers, go to the Little White Flowers page in hoopla or Libby and sign into your library account. Below are the libraries I know of that have purchased the Little White Flowers ebook.

Libraries with Little White Flowers ebook:

Massachusetts:

CW MARS Library System (two member libraries also carry the print book)

Scotland:

Remember, there are many, many additional libraries that provide access to Little White Flowers through hoopla and Libby, so if you don't see your library here, check your app.
