I had a blast at the Queen City Scribes October Haunts Reading! It was great seeing so many friends and family and getting to hear some spooky readings. Zak Cowell read a few of poems from his poetry collection In Flesh, Enshrined as well as an excerpt from a story he's working on, "The God of the Staircase." Samantha Eaton read and excerpt from her book The Roots in Your Bones. I read Chapter 3 of Little White Flowers. Z Lavway read an assortment of his poems. Fox Emm read an excerpt of their book On Fluent Haunches. Nomar Slevik shared a real-life unsolved mystery with us. McCaela Prentice rounded out the event with some more poetry, including some readings from her collection Pulp Prophet. E, and e, and everything concluded with the costume contest, which my mom won with their Pink Ladies costume.

A huge thank you to Tori Hood and Z Lavway for putting everything together, to Bangor Beer Co for letting us use their space, and to everyone who came out for the event!
