Fundraiser to Support Domestic Violence Survivors

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 10% of September and October royalties on book sales to be donated to Partners for Peace.

I've been involved with Partners for Peace, Maine's oldest domestic violence resource center, which serves Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties, since I was an undergrad at UMaine. (You can learn more about their work and the services they provide here.) I really value the work they do, so in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I will be donating 10% of the royalties I earn in September and October to Partners for Peace. 

You can order my books online, at your favorite local store, or pick them up from me at events I'll be participating in throughout these two months. I earn the most from direct sales, so if you're looking to maximize your impact, buying books through me is your best bet. Also, if you borrow one of my books from your local library, send me a picture of the book you've checked out along with the name of your library. I'll donate 50 cents to the fundraiser for each library checkout I'm made aware of. (If you read through hoopla, you don't need to do anything extra because I get paid for every hoopla checkout.) You can also donate directly to Partners for Peace through their website. If you give my name in your donation notes, I'll be able to count it toward the fundraising total.
